Somebody asked me about the Force just recently, I told them I thought that it was the most ridiculous name for a sporting team after the West Coast Eagles. When will teams from WA get over the fact that there is more to life than geographical position, you don't hear of the Tasmanian Rowing team Calling them selves the "Southern Strokers" do you.
Ah, but then again my Grumpy friend, I notice that our Southern African buddies are also geographically challenged, Central Cheetas?? and the sixth team will be the Southern Spears. Then again it is Rugby and not Rocket Science.
As for the west bit, everyone knows that Washington is the center of the universe, we are west therefore and South Africa is east... and south a bit.. but possibly near Alabama.

In fact I have friends from around the world who laugh at our whole country for our imaginative geolgraphical naming system, we must have been hard up when we named our states; Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory!!! We did get slightly risqué thouhg with New South Wales, and it doesn't even look anything like Wales and South of Wales is Cornwall, so infact Sydney is the capital of New Cornwall. Bollocks!!

And how far West are they compared to the South African sides in the competition?
