So very, Serevi, good.

I'm off to see Australia flog Fiji in the rugby at Subiaco Oval tomorrow night.

Got a free ticket from the Australian Rugby Union on the proviso I'd dress up in my nation's proud yellow and make a wallaby of myself.

It's a shame Fiji's little master, the mighty Waisale Serevi, won't be playing.

I only ever saw him play live in 2003, in one of his last 15-a-side games, at a world cup fixture in Canberra - when he was past his peak and came on as a replacement near full-time.

As the twinkle-toed David Campese was to the 15-a-side game, Serevi, who still plays 7s , is to the abridged version. That, and so much more. Oh, so very much more. Oh, so very, very, much more.

Waisale Serevi - The proud prince of the Pacific's prickly playing paddocks.
